What Buba is
Buba is a web-based AI companion experience for adults aged 18 and older. It lets people discover fictional adult characters, create their own companions, and explore personal conversation and creative storytelling in realistic and anime styles.
All companions are fictional. Their portraits are AI-generated. Live text conversations use AI-generated replies; local chat previews use clearly labeled scripted examples.

Try a labeled scripted preview or sign in for live AI text chat. Account conversations are saved and can be reopened. Replies use recent conversation context and can contain mistakes or inconsistencies.

Privacy & data
Local favorites and character drafts are stored in your browser. Scripted preview messages stay in page memory and are not sent to a live AI provider.
Account features use Firebase authentication. The application stores account records, saved characters, and live conversations. Live AI chat sends character information and recent conversation messages to the configured Google AI service.
Buba does not provide end-to-end encryption. The application server and configured service providers process live inputs. Production website analytics uses Google Analytics and PostHog; chat message bodies are not sent as analytics events.
Automated account deletion is not implemented. The privacy notice describes outstanding operator, retention, export, and deletion procedures. Consult the privacy notice and terms of use for the current disclosures.

Is Buba a real person?
No. Every Buba companion is a fictional AI character. Character portraits are AI-generated, and replies do not come from a human companion.
Can I create my own AI companion?
Yes. The character builder lets adults define a fictional adult companion’s name, age, style, personality, interests, and backstory. Local drafts are stored in your browser; saving an account companion requires sign-in.
Does Buba remember every conversation?
Saved live conversations can be reopened with an account. AI replies use recent conversation context; advanced long-term memory and perfect recall are not implemented.
Can Buba generate images or make voice calls?
An image studio interface is present, but live portrait generation is not currently configured. Voice calls and video are not available.
Are Buba conversations end-to-end encrypted?
